Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Floor collects when you use the website at joinfloor.com or the Floor iOS app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Account information. Your email address, name, username, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and the profile photo, bio and other profile details you choose to add.

Content you create. Posts, replies, likes, follows, trade calls, trade ideas, Daily Call picks, room and War Room messages, watchlists, journal entries and anything else you post or save. Most of this is visible to other members by design.

Trading details you enter. Account size, risk settings, trades, P&L and similar figures you choose to record. We do not connect to your brokerage account.

Usage information. Pages and features you use, streaks, points and challenge progress, device and browser type, IP address, and log and error data. This keeps Floor working, secure and improving.

Payments. When you buy credits on the website, Stripe collects your payment details. We receive confirmation of the purchase, not your full card number. If in-app purchases are offered on iOS, Apple handles them.

Notifications. If you turn on notifications, we store the push subscription or device token needed to deliver them.

• Run your account and show your content to the community.
• Provide features such as the feed, rooms, Daily Call, leagues, streaks, challenges and AI tools.
• Send notifications and service emails you have asked for or that relate to your account.
• Process purchases and keep credit balances accurate.
• Keep Floor secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Understand usage so we can fix problems and improve Floor.
• Meet legal obligations.

We share information only with providers that help us run Floor, and only as needed for their service:

• MongoDB Atlas stores our database, including account data and content.
• Vercel hosts the website and API and processes request logs.
• OpenAI processes the prompts and related context you send to AI features, to generate a response.
• Stripe processes payments made on the website.
• Market data providers (for example FRED, Financial Modeling Prep, Tiingo and Alpha Vantage) supply prices and economic data. We request data by ticker symbol and do not send them your personal information.
• Apple distributes the iOS app and, where used, delivers push notifications and handles in-app purchases under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our members or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy continues to apply).

Your username, name, profile photo, bio, posts, trade calls, trade ideas, room messages, leaderboard position and stats you choose to share are visible to other members and, for some pages, to visitors who are not signed in. Don't post anything you want to keep private.

You can delete your account at any time from account settings in the Floor iOS app. You can also email support@joinfloor.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.

Deleting your account removes your profile and the content linked to it from Floor. Some records may remain for a limited time in backups, or where we must keep them for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or security reasons (for example, payment records). Content that other members have quoted or shared may remain in their copies.

We keep account information and content while your account is open. After you delete your account we remove it within a reasonable period, apart from the exceptions above. Logs are kept for a limited time for security and debugging.

• Update your profile and settings at any time.
• Turn notifications off in the app, your browser or your device settings.
• Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, such as objecting to certain processing or complaining to a data protection authority. Email support@joinfloor.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first.

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences and protect against abuse. The iOS app stores a sign-in token securely on your device. We do not use advertising trackers.

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Floor is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Our providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

We may update this policy. If a change is significant we will tell you on Floor or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
